    South Carolina Solar Energy Tax Credit

    25% of cost, up to $3,500 a year

    South Carolina taxpayers who own and install a qualifying system on property they own

    Capped at $3,500 per facility per year or half your tax liability, whichever is lower, with a 10-year carryforward so a large system keeps paying out. The Department of Revenue lists no expiration.

    Santee Cooper EmpowerSolar Home Rebate

    $950 per kW, up to $5,700

    Santee Cooper residential customers using a Santee Cooper Trade Ally installer

    Covers the solar portion only, not batteries. Residential solar customers pay a $10 monthly distributed generation rider.

    Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (IRA HEAR)

    Up to $4,000 for a panel upgrade, within an up-to-$14,000 total
