Enroll in the charging program first, then apply for the rebate. Licensed electrician required, first come first served.

Minnesota Battery Storage Incentive (Xcel)
Xcel Energy Minnesota customers adding a battery to a new or existing solar system
Battery must be paired with solar, 50 kWh maximum. About 46% of the $3.48M budget remained at the last published update.

Minnesota customers outside Xcel Energy territory pairing a battery with solar
The counterpart to Xcel's program for everyone else in the state. First come, first served while funds last.

Minnesota Power EV Rebates
Minnesota Power residential customers on a time-based or interruptible rate
The second-service rebate covers a separately metered EV supply, which usually means panel work. Off-peak power runs about 2.4 cents per kWh.
